Ooni Koda 2

The Koda 2 succeeds the Koda 12, and the difference is not the size but the control. Where the old model effectively had two settings — full on, and slightly less — the Koda 2 can be set anywhere between 100 and 500 °C.

That sounds like a detail, but it changes what the oven is for. At 250 °C you can bake bread, focaccia or a tray of vegetables without the top burning before the middle is done. The built-in digital thermometer reads the stone, so you are no longer guessing.

The G2 burner spreads heat more evenly than the previous generation, which makes the familiar hot spot at the back less pronounced. You still turn the pizza, just less often.
