Ooni Karu 2
Wood, charcoal or gas behind a glass door — formerly the Karu 12G.
Who it is for
Anyone who wants to bake over wood without steering blind on feel and timing.
The Karu 2 is the model previously sold as the Karu 12G. The glass door is the difference you notice most: you can see the fire and the edge of the pizza without opening the oven, so you lose no heat just to take a look.
It also has a digital thermometer reading the stone. With wood that is worth more than it is with gas, because the fire is naturally less even and you steer it yourself by how much wood you put in.
The gas burner is sold separately. Plenty of people buy it at the same time and run gas midweek, wood at the weekend — which is exactly what this oven is for.
