Who it is for

Anyone who wants sixteen inches without paying a premium for the newest generation.

The Koda 16 was the standard recommendation for years: a sixteen-inch baking surface, an L-shaped burner that carries heat along the back of the oven, and an opening wide enough to turn the pizza calmly.

Since the second-generation Koda arrived, the 16 has mostly been on sale. That currently makes it one of the sharpest-priced routes to a sixteen-inch oven.

What you give up against the newer generation is the built-in temperature reading and the finer control at low settings. For pizza at 450 to 500 °C you will barely notice.
